Moxibustion
ARTEMISIA VULGARIS - MUGWORT - AI YE

The term "moxibustion" comes from the Latin word bustion, "burning", and Japanese word mogusa, "herb" (mugwort). Though often underutilized in modern practice, moxibustion was a fundamental aspect of traditional medicine—so much so that the Chinese character for acupuncture literally translates to "acupuncture-moxibustion," reflecting how closely the two therapies were intertwined. At WhiteFox Integrative Medicine, moxibustion remains a powerful technique extensivley used alongside acupuncture.
