Our Treatment Approach

Patient-centered care is the most important attribute linking all of the clinicians here at White Fox, and one that we take very seriously. Every clinician here was drawn to medicine to help people become healthier, smarter, and more resilient. Patient-centered care is the only avenue by which this is possible, and one must dedicate themselves to that cause from day one in the classroom to graduation to the very last days of their practice. Every clinician must be very well versed in the practice of active listening, as this is one of the most important pillars of diagnostics and only this practice will allow us to truly put the patient first. We all share modesty, curiosity, and a desire to learn and improve every day we walk into the clinic, and this is what keeps us in business. Learning and improving on our ability to positively influence our patients lives is a passion for us and this is very apparent from the minute you walk into the treatment room.

In caring for our patients we have different levels of therapeutics in mind, these levels are ranked from 1-5, and are ranked in descending order from least invasive to most invasive for the patient. As treatment gets more invasive there is a bigger short term change for the patient and much bigger risk. The goal is to try to improve things with the lowest level of therapeutic as possible.

Here is the breakdown of the levels:

01

Level 1: Diet, Lifestyle, & Behavioral

This level is seen as the foundational therapeutic, and is mostly utilized by the clinician in a purely educational manner. We emphasize the importance of this level due to its ability to magnify any other therapeutic introduced to the patient, and it is the only level that if utilized correctly by the patient will keep them healthy once they reach their health goals. These are skills we believe need to be emphasized whether they are the only therapeutic or we decide we need a more invasive therapeutic.

02

Level 2: Acupuncture, Osteopathy, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy

At this level the clinician is physically altering the patient’s body to create more alignment, better circulation, and bringing a better balance to the internal and external body. This level is used when we need to hasten and improve the body’s natural ability to heal. This is more invasive than level 1, but the patient will also get results faster, and a skilled clinician should perform these therapeutics without any side effects to the patient.

03

Level 3: Herbal Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, Injections

At this level the clinician needs to add in nutrients and regulators to the body that change the internal environment at a much faster rate. There are levels of strength, and done correctly with the right amount of care and teamwork, patients should not get any side effects from this level. There is of course a much bigger risk, so this level should not be used unless absolutely necessary, and only from a clinician who is very knowledgeable about these medicinals.

04

Level 4: Surgery

At this level we have gotten to the high risk therapeutics. There are very few surgeries that don’t have any side effects at all, and most have some inherent risk as well. However, for certain patients with certain circumstances this is the route that has to be taken. As said in level one, if we are utilizing the other levels of therapeutics, patients should have less severe side effects and recover faster.

05

Level 5: Chemotherapy, Radiation, & Transplants

This is of course our last resort for patients who are in need of serious alterations of their body. This has most severe risk and most severe side effects. As stated above, the other levels are going to be very important for preparation for these interventions, while receiving these interventions, and continued for many months or years after intervention.
